William C. King, Jr. passed away on December 18, 2016. Bill was born on April 4, 1931. He was preceded in death by his father, William C. King, Sr.; and his mother, Suda L. King. Also preceding him in death was an older brother, Edmund, a victim of the Korean War.
Survivors include three siblings, Don (Carol) King of South Bend, Richard King of Norwalk, OH, and Shirley Farkas of Edwardsburg; three wonderful nephews, Tim (Vicki), Rich (Myra), and Eddie (Sharon); and several other nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Dennison High School in Ohio, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged, he attended the Columbia School of Broadcasting in Chicago. From there, he joined the staff of WNDU-TV, holding many positions including operating the camera for many Notre Dame Football games, both home and away. He also played a small part of Moldus Fry on the Sheriff Culpepper Kid Show, doing commercial breaks. After leaving WNDU, he joined WSJV-TV in Elkhart holding many positions, which included Production Manager. Bill liked fishing, gardening and casino gambling.
There will be no visitation or services, as cremation will take place.
His favorite saying was “I Did It My Way!”
