Walter B. Pollock

April 15, 1947 – June 15, 2017

Walter Bennett Pollock, 70, passed away unexpectedly Thursday at 8:22pm, at Memorial Hospital amongst family.
Wally was born on April 15, 1947 on Long Island, NY to William “Reds” and Polly Hammer Pollock. He was married to Kathy Jo Finch Pollock of South Bend, IN who survives. They were married on September 22, 1990. Also left to cherish his memory are two daughters: Lisa M. (Jared) Merves and their children Jack and Nora of Dallas, TX; Jessica L. (Eric) Kovach and their children Logan and Averie of Edwardsburg, MI; a son Daniel V. Pollock of Nederland, CO; and a brother Bill (Linda) Pollock of Bethel, VT. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his first wife Debbie (Fladeland) Pollock in 1988.
Wally graduated from Freeport High School, Long Island, NY and received a BS in Business from Colorado State University. For many years, Wally was a staple of the local business community, a provider for his family and a constant supporter on the little league fields and ice rinks. Wally was an All-American Lacrosse Player at CSU and was inducted into the Lacrosse Hall of Fame. His enthusiasm for the outdoors was contagious. His love of the friendly wager, blue grass music and the mountains lives on thru his children.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of His Life will be held at 4pm Tuesday the 20th at McGann Hay Funeral Homes on SR 23, Granger, IN. The family will receive guests following the service.
