Timothy D. Simko, 69, passed away peacefully February 15, 2017 after enduring a lengthy illness. He was in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in East Chicago, IN on March 27, 1947 to the late Andy and Grace (Wroble) Simko.
On June 14, 1969, Tim married Joyce Nickell, who survives him. To their union, they were blessed with three daughters, Lynda (Jon) Aranowski, Susan (Troy) Whitesel, and Nancy (Chad) Mastagh, all of South Bend. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ryan and Zachary Aranowski, Cole and Jake Whitesel, and Abbi, CJ and Diedri Mastagh; one brother, Larry (Linda) Simko of Floyd Knobs, IN; and four nieces and nephews.
Tim excelled at everything he did, and was a great provider for his family. He loved hunting and fishing; and especially enjoyed sharing those hobbies with his family. He was a long time member of St. Pius Catholic Church. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Little Flower Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m, with visitation one hour prior.
The family would like to thank Grace Hospice and Home Instead for the wonderful and compassionate care they showed Tim.
