Raymond Eugene Andrews, 65, of Granger, passed away peacefully at home with loved ones close by following an illness.
Ray was born in Mishawaka on December 30, 1951 to William Henry and Vera Belle (Stone) Andrews who both survive of Mishawaka.
On July 2, 1971 he married the love of his life Nancy Ellen (Nunnally) Andrews who survives of Granger. Also left to cherish his memory are two sons: Christopher D. (Mindy) Andrews of Mishawaka, Timothy W. (Ashley) Andrews of Osceola; three brothers: Gerald D. (Darlene) Andrews of South Bend, Keith A. (Katrina) Andrews of Niles, Brian S. (Stacey) Andrews of Granger; and five grandchildren he adored: Ariana Andrews, 13, Dyan Hill, 17, Chloe LaPara, 18, Emerald Andrews, 11, and Amethyst Andrews, 9.
He owned and operated a successful family business for 43 years in Osceola, Warehouse Salvage, where people referred to him as “The King of Salvage.” Ray enjoyed: fishing, traveling to Florida and the LasVegas casinos, playing cards, and doing puzzles but most of all he loved spending time with his lovely wife and family.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McGann Hay / Funerals / Cremations / Gatherings, 13260 SR 23 Granger, Indiana 46530 , enter off Cherry Rd. A funeral to celebrate and give thanks for Mr. Raymond Andrews life will be held at 11:00am Wednesday in the funeral home, Rev. Richard Reed his cousin, officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up at Lake City Bank for Raymond Andrews memorial fund.
