January 13, 1957 – March 9, 2021
Clark Jon Curtis Sr., of Mishawaka, IN, died peacefully on March 9, 2021 with his five kids and beloved Jackie by his side.
Clark is survived by his children: Cheri Forsberg (Matt), Clark Curtis Jr., Amy Wolf (Joe), Brandon Curtis (Gabi), Amanda DeCoudres (Dustin), and his sister Cintra Steele. He also leaves behind his grandkids: Ryan, Kyle, Nathaniel, Caitlyn, Aidan, Xander, Addyson, Thalia, Dylan, Alivia, and Bianca. He is preceded in death by his father Orville, mother Milrea, and brother Craig.
Clark was born on January 13, 1957 in Marshalltown, IA. His family relocated to South Bend, IN in 1966. He attended Clay High School and married Jacquelyn Dillman, his high school sweetheart in 1977. Clark was a proud union member of the Glaziers Local 1152-1165, from 1978-2009.
Clark was a strong man. A family man. He gave his kids so many precious memories to hold on to including: annual apple picking, building dams in the creek behind the house, creating the best Halloween decorations for the front yard, building backyard campfires, taking beach trips to Lake Michigan, camping at Potato Creek, and watching the boat races at St. Patrick’s park. Clark also made the best chili, and grew the greatest garden in the neighborhood. He was a fun guy who was loved by so many family, friends, and neighbors over the years. Though he has left a hole in our hearts, we know we can find comfort that he is at peace and that we now have a special angel watching over us every day.
A visitation and service is scheduled for Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church (53720 N Ironwood Rd, South Bend, IN 46635). Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am and the service immediately following. Please plan to wear a mask and social distance. Father Matthew will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Clark’s life. Clark was a passionate supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
